Date: May 5th, 2020.
Time of Writing: 11:08 PM.
Weather: Fairly temperate, high fifties. I went for another walk today, this time for four miles. Did a loop around the area to the southwest of my home, which is to say the nearby train station and associated nature reserve. There were some clouds but not many. It also was fairly bright. This is fitting, seeing as my walk took place, in fact, in the day time.
Mental and Physical Health State: I feel mentally pretty well and physically also pretty well.
Day Overview: Welcome to Tuesday. Home of Wednesday. I took another final today, and I don't know if Moodle was displaying properly or not but I think I somehow aced it. That would be a nice change of pace. Then I played some more Animal Crossing but not all that much. In the middle of the day I went on a walk by myself while I listened to some podcasts. It was a four mile walk, a good exercise for the day. I need to start doing those daily, I think. I don't know if the weathers good enough for that or not. This is good practice because once the murder hornets come I'm never going outside again. I spent the evening watching videos on YouTube about baseball. They were pretty good.
On My Mind: Food, dare I say it, is amazing. I had Chinese food takeout for dinner tonight and it was steller. I still have some left over and I might want to heat it up. Maybe just so I can snack on something that isn't sweets. I have a sweet tooth, of course.
Works Consumed:
- Hello, Dolly! by Louis Armstrong: Pleasant vocal jazz pop. Brunchy stuff. Bacon and eggs on french toast stuff. A special kind of warm comfort on the tongue. I wonder why we have breakfast foods, why some meals make so much more sense in the morning. Why do we have lunch foods? Why do we have dinner foods? Why do any of these foods fit with their respective times? You can't explain it, but they do! I can't have pizza for breakfast! I can't have pancakes for dinner! Right? Am I naught but the sum of my taste palette? 7/10 would recommend.
- Face to Face by Angel City. Also the Angels. Red Velvet Cake is angel food, I swear. These are some hard rock tunes that are corny as hell but also like, corn is good? Why is corny an insult? Does it imply a lack of substance? Like, what the fuck guys. It's stock stuff, boring soups, I don't really like soups. VERY STANDARD BOOMER ROCK MUSIC. It's like shit you listen to in the car when you're on the local radio classic rock station I guess whatever 6/10.
- Nattfodd by Finntroll: Okay if you think of this as metal covers of unused Undertale tracks it becomes really really good. I really really like this album and I have no way to explain why. There are no words. My mind was blown. 9/10. Inexplicably. It's fantastical in all the best ways. 9/10! Eureka!
- Dead Screen Scrolls by Clarence Clarity: I didn't think from the description that this would be very interesting. Clarence Clarity doing ambient? That couldn't be good, could it? I was... right, in my judgement. It's alright, just like, not the best. There's a good track or two on here. It's just a little too overwhelming, sonically, to be ambient. And not enough to be drone. So it just sounds whiny, weirdly. The synths are whiny here. 6/10.
Works In Progress:
- Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu Season Two animated by Studio Deen: Episode Ten.
Works Produced: A few hundred words for creative writing stuff, and a bit of academic work. None on the site yet. Need the next few days for my last Finals project.
Other Thoughts: Thank you for reading my blog. Sorry for the food diversions. I'm in a culinary mood, I suppose.
