Date: January 20th, 2020.

Time of Writing: 7:52 PM.

Weather: Incredibly cold.

Mood: Nervous stasis.

Day Overview: Still don't have a laptop charger. Should be coming tomorrow hopefully. One of my textbooks shipped so maybe it'll be about as fast as that. Woke up stupid early, didn't know how to start my day so I read some of Don Dellilo's Underworld which I started late last September and dearly need to finish soon if I want to make any sort of progress on the year's reading goal, which I absolutely will not. Tried to take out Italo Calvino's If On A Winter's Night a Traveler at the library, had to figure out their call number, and I did, but my reward was only learning that both copies of the book had been borrowed even though the catalog online said they were available. I hope this is not a repeat experience at the library. Played a good deal of Death Stranding as well while I listened to some podcasts. Could have been a good time to listen to some music but as of this writing I have yet to get to an album today. Apart from seeing some familiar faces on my floor in my dorm building, and the occasional interface with my roommate Isaac when we hear a weird sound upstairs, I haven't talked to anyone since last night. Not meaningfully at least.

On My Mind: I don't know if it's the Death Stranding talking or what, but I can see myself as a postman in the future. Delivering packages to people seems like a fun enough job, or at least an active enough one that I wouldn't altogether mind it. That said I'd have to learn how to drive so that I could get to places, but I think I'm going to learn that anyway this summer. On an unrelated note I hope I don't have to borrow someone else's laptop to write the next post. Even going to the library and using one of their computers would be slightly less than ideal.

Produced: Carbon dioxide.

Other Thoughts: Thank you for reading the blog in these trying times. Twenty posts strong, we've lost a bit of momentum due to my laptop situation, but tomorrow's post will have to be extra special to make up for it. Reminder; my first radio show of the semester is coming up! Thursday 11:59 PM to Friday 2:00 AM EST. You can listen to it on 91.1 FM if you're on campus or at the station's website.
